If breast reconstruction is something you would like to know more about, ‘Keeping Abreast South West’ support group can guide you through your journey of breast reconstruction.

To enable Bristol based ‘Uplifted’ support group to grow as a charity, and to provide you with a more informed guide to making the right decisions, ‘Uplifted’ have merged with the reconstruction group ‘Keeping Abreast’ based in Norwich. The merger with ‘Keeping Abreast’, who have been established since 2007, will enable us to enhance our supportive role for you! Together, we can help anyone considering or recovering from, reconstruction.

So, with this merger and the collaboration of Plastic Surgeons and Registered Breast Care Nurses at Frenchay Hospital, along with those women who have already made their choices in breast reconstruction, Keeping Abreast Bristol’ can advise you with making informed choices at any stage. This can be either at initial surgery or at a later date when you feel ready! We are here for you!

‘Keeping Abreast Bristol’ meet up regularly at the Plastics Clinic at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, with meetings also arranged for those located nearer Cheltenham and Gloucester. (See ‘Meetings’).

You need no invitation, just come along to our informal relaxed chats, listen to inspiring guest speakers, and join others, like yourself, to hear and discuss all you need to know about breast reconstruction.

We offer refreshments and regular raffles at each meeting.

Open to all members of the family, spouses, significant others, friends... ALL ARE WELCOME!
